My Muse
I
didn’t
write
last
month
because
I
didn’t
feel
that
I
had
something
to
share
that
would
be
of
value.
And
I
don’t
want
to
waste
your
time.
This
month
I
want
to
share
some
bad
news
and
my
views
on
it.
My
introduction
to
the
world
of
personal
development
came
about
as a
result
of
attending
a
workshop
called
Outlook
some
11
years
ago.
I
remember
saying
to
my
friend
Gerry
the
following
week
that
the
course
was
‘a
life
changing
event’
and
for
me
it
was.
It
began
an
interest
in
personal
development
that
opened
up
many
avenues
of
interest
for
me.
It
allowed
me
to
really
begin
to
understand
who
I
was
and
what
was
important
to
me.
I
began
to
look
for
new
challenges
and
refocused
my
life
with
more
successful
results.
I
changed
my
career,
and
I
became
very
involved
with
the
Outlook
organisation
with
a
view
to
running
the
trainings
myself
in
due
course.
I
completely
bought
into
the
values
of
Outlook,
excellence,
being
one’s
best,
empowering
people,
expanding
our
horizons,
moving
beyond
one’s
comfort
zone,
creating
fun
in
our
lives,
and
creating
a
purpose
for
one’s
life
and
living
it.
That’s
the
good
news.
For
me
and
many
many
others
the
courses
have
made
a
tremendous
positive
impact
in
our
lives
and
the
lives
of
our
loved
ones.
The
bad
news
is
that
due
to a
drop
off
in
the
number
of
people
recommending
the
courses,
the
organisation
is
going
to
have
to
close.
It
simply
is
losing
money
and
the
good
people
who
have
been
subsidising
it
for
some
time
are
no
longer
prepared
to
do
so.
There
will
be
one
more
Outlook
course
on
June
8-10th
and
if
this
is
something
you
would
consider,
email
me
back
and
I’ll
send
you
all
the
details,
or
go
to
www.outlooktraining.org/aboutoutlooktraining.htm
This
really
may
be
your
last
chance
to
experience
this
amazing
workshop
and
kickstart
your
life
improvement.
As
for
me,
this
does
mean
a
space
has
been
created
for
something
else
to
exist.
What
it
is,
I’m
not
sure.
I am
still
committed
to
making
a
difference
and
supporting
people
to
be
their
best.
It’s
been
my
belief
that
the
best
way
to
do
this
is a
combination
of
the
Outlook
courses
and
one
to
one
coaching.
I
will
certainly
be
continuing
with
my
coaching,
and
maybe
with
the
courses
I
have
created,
maybe
something
new
has
to
happen,
we’ll
see.
The
learning
in
this
for
you
may
be
around
how
you
deal
with
change.
Would
you
look
at
this
as
failure,
or a
new
opportunity?
Something
to
grieve
over
or
to
celebrate?
Our
attitude
leads
to
our
results,
whether
our
attitude
is
positive
or
negative,
empowering
or
disempowering,
attitudes
lead
to
actions
or
inactions
that
produce
a
result.
Book
Recommendation
I
haven’t
recommended
a
book
for
a
while
but
I so
enjoyed
The
Kite
Runner
by
Khaled
Hosseini
that
I
wanted
to
bring
it
to
your
attention.
It’s
a
novel
based
in
Afghanistan
during
the
Seventies
about
the
lives
of
two
young
boys,
one
born
into
privilege,
the
other
his
servant,
and
how
the
relationship
is
affected
by
circumstance.
It’s
absolutely
beautifully
written,
amazingly,
considering
the
author’s
first
language
is
not
English
and
is
one
of
those
books
that
make
you
want
to
turn
off
the
world
so
you
can
just
read
it
without
interruption.
It’s
also
highly
interesting
to
see
how
different
cultures
operate
and
the
belief
systems
that
underpin
them.
It’s
easier
to
do
this
when
the
culture
isn’t
yours,
and
then
one
can
see
the
consequences
of
these
beliefs,
both
positive
and
negative.
If
you
wish
to
purchase
the
book
on
Amazon,
you
can
by

here.
