My Muse
I
was
at a
networking
event
last
week
and
someone
mentioned
how
much
they
enjoyed
receiving
my
Museletter
each
month.
He
described
it
as a
drop
of
positivity
in
an
ocean
of
negativity.
This
month
I
have
a
link
for
you
to
see
a
video.
Possibly
the
most
uplifting
video
I
have
ever
seen.
It’s
about
a
father
and
son
who
are
special.
The
son,
Rick
Hoyt
has
severe
Cerebral
Palsy
and
didn’t
communicate
until
he
was
12,
and
his
father
just
wants
to
see
his
son
happy.
And
Rick
is
happiest
when
his
father
pushes
him
in
his
wheelchair.
It
started
when
Rick
asked
Dick
to
push
him
in a
five
mile
charity
race.
It
took
an
unfit
Dick
two
weeks
to
recover!
That
was
twenty-eight
years
ago.
Since
then
the
Hoyts
have
completed
85
marathons
and
212
triathlons.
Take
a
look
now
to
see
what
the
human
spirit
can
achieve.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4B-r8KJhlE
What
the
video
doesn’t
tell
you
is
that
Dick
had
a
mild
heart
attack
during
a
race.
Doctors
found
that
one
of
his
arteries
was
95%
clogged.
``If
you
hadn't
been
in
such
great
shape,''
One
doctor
told
him,
``you
probably
would've
died
15
years
ago.''
So,
in a
way,
Dick
and
Rick
saved
each
other's
life.
What’s
the
difference
between
Dick
Hoyte
and
the
rest
of
us?
Who
knows,
maybe
he
is a
special
man,
or
maybe
he’s
an
ordinary
man
in
exceptional
circumstances.
He
used
the
situation
he
found
himself
in
to
do
his
best.
That
is
the
challenge
for
us.
Simply
to
accept
the
reality
of
our
circumstances
and
then
be
our
very
best.
It
may
not
be
easy,
but
it
may
be
the
best
thing
you
ever
did.
My
News
I've
been
a
member
of
BNI
for
nearly
four
years,
and
it's
been
a
great
support
to
me.
For
those
of
you
who
may
not
be
familiar
with
it,
BNI
is a
networking
group
where
we
meet
weekly
to
learn
about
each
others
businesses
and
look
to
refer
business
to
each
other.
One
of
my
colleagues
has
been
exceptionally
supportive
over
the
years
and
I
would
like
to
let
you
know
about
his
business,
in
case
you
need
a
computer
consultant.
Michael
Gottlieb,
computer
consultant,
specialises
in
writing
bespoke
databases
so
you
can
make
the
most
of
the
information
you
already
have.
He
is
an
expert
computer
trainer
in
Microsoft
packages
(Excel,
Word,
Outlook,
PowerPoint,
Project
etc.)
right
from
beginner
to
advanced.
He
is
also
skilled
at
recovering
lost
information,
computer
forensics
and
security.
It's
the
databases
that
he
is
most
well
known
for
and
if
you
or
someone
you
know
is
looking
to
make
the
most
of
the
machine
you're
looking
at
now,
I
have
no
hesitation
in
recommending
Michael
Gottlieb,
he
turns
data
into
information!
Contact
Michael
on
m.g@mgottlieb.co.uk
or
07956

and
tell
him
I
recommended
him!
